Depress = to press
down; to cause to sink to a lower position.
The first thing that comes to mind when I think of the word
“depress” is the emotional state of depression.
I believe that most of us, if we are honest, have struggled with this at
some point in our lives. I know from experience that this is one of satan’s greatest weapons in his arsenal. If we allow it, he will hold us down and keep us from moving forward
in our relationship with God and with other people.

If this is you, and any of these things are keeping you down, remember God’s word
gives us everything we need to combat each and every one of these fiery
darts.
If you are anxious, you can have peace.
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every
situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to
God. And the peace of God, which transcends all
understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

If you are empty, you can be filled.
I
pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through
his Spirit in your inner being, so
that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being
rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord's
holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of

If you are hopeless, you can become hopeful.
